Here at A.W.O.L. Custom Tattooing, LLC we strive to help you find the right tattoo. You can bring in your own design but we also offer a design creation process to help you figure things out. We have thousands of tattoo designs already categorized for you to use as reference for your ideas or you might find the perfect tattoo design already drawn out.

We also have an internet connection for showing us things that you have found that you like or for doing research with the artist of your choice. If you still haven't found what you are looking for we can help you get there. One of our artists will be able to draw something up for you. We also do freehand work or a combination of all of the above. We will be honest with you about your ideas without being arrogant or rude about it.

More importantly, we are concerned with protecting your health. Our parlor does its best to eliminate cross contamination and provide a safe, clean establishment for you to enjoy your tattoo or piercing experience. This shop was ahead of the game before the body modification legislation was passed here in Michigan. We have been doing the majority of these things, and more, all along. Health education and awareness are important to us. We are registered with the DEQ and have our autoclave spore test results posted along with our Health Department inspection sheet.

We generally have multiple artists working at one time. Walk ins are welcome if we're not already booked up. We also have set walk in hours as well. As far as we know we are the only shop in the region that has set walk-in hours with experienced artists. This is really great for those of you with chaotic schedules or that never know when their days off are going to be. If you happen to come in on a day when someone has beat you in and we are full we can always make you an appointment.

We are definitely working more than we are not so getting you taken care of should not be a problem.

Your satisfaction and our name are important to us. We guarantee our tattoos in writing and have follow-ups to ensure the best possible outcome for your tattoo. We also offer a selection of tattoo aftercare products since we understand that people heal differently and have varying desires. You are given printed aftercare instructions at the time of your tattoo along with the warranty. You are also always welcome to stop in or call with questions. We offer many different body piercings, ranging from the traditional lobe piercings to dermal implants. We typically use implant grade surgical stainless steel for most piercings. There are some piercings that we use titanium for as well. If you have any sort of metal allergies talk to our piercist about your options.

All piercings are done in a private room so discretion is not an issue. We want you to be as comfortable as possible. We also do jewelry changing and tapering for larger guages. Our piercing prices are all inclusive, so no surprise fees or charges at the checkout. The starter jewelry is included in the price of the piercing.

We are accepting local artwork for consignment sales and display. You can't have art without music, right? Local bands and musicians, you too have an opportunity here to reach people with merch sales or as a place to distribute free samples of your music.
